Creative Services Director

Our client, a North American startup commercial subsidiary of a world-class manufacturer of IT products, is seeking a creative and organized individual who will develop and execute marketing initiatives for their North American Sales and Marketing office. The ideal candidate will be an effective collaborator who can lead and manage a team to success. Qualified applicants must have extensive experience in marketing and sales including website development, creative development, thrives in a fast-past environment, and can directly contribute, delegate, and be able to track multiple projects and execute multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in IT distribution and channel markets, have a passion for their work, be able to employ unique marketing techniques, be a skilled marketing tactician, and be able to drive creativity, execution, productivity, and enthusiasm in others. This person will immediately assume responsibility for developing a new website, product marketing materials, and product packaging for an upcoming launch of products.

You will:

  • Drive all product marketing initiatives, including helping facilitate and oversee market research, creative design, copywriting, and external marketing deliverables from vendors/freelancers
  • Increase brand awareness and manage brand preference
  • Develop and maintain product marketing and sales promotion content, including product marketing collateral, solution presentations, website content, press releases, articles, videos, webinars, and tradeshows
  • Create a consistent brand message across multiple channels (distribution, e-tail and retail) to attract and inform resellers, end users, and sales teams
  • Develop programs for each product line and family; directing product marketing and sales promotional support materials
  • Establish and manage the digital marketing strategy for website and website development
  • Guide, collaborate, and contribute when working with external writers
  • Research and understand competitive landscape, products and customers, buying triggers and influencers
  • Lead development of content marketing materials for websites, product marketing and sales collateral
  • Collaborate with President to develop channel marketing programs for sales growth and revenue enhancement
  • Perform research for analysis of market data
  • Maintain product information database and overall marketing library
  • Develop PowerPoint presentation templates for sales proposals
  • Manage and coordinate trade shows and conferences
  • Stay current on market trends, industry standards and competitors
  • Answer requests, provide information, and respond to inquiries from external partners and media sources
  • Monitor and manage overall marketing expenses
  • Manage internal marketing staff and external vendors

You have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, creative development, communications
  • 2 years of management experience in a similar role
  • A strong passion for technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant degree with deep experience with marketing collateral and design
  • Strong understanding and experience with Content Management Systems
  • Exceptional communication skills with external vendors and customers
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience managing and leading package design for IT distribution and retail channel
  • Understanding of Google Analytics
  • Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM and web applications
  • Ability to travel as required (10%)
