Daily tasks vary widely depending on the type of content needed, but all copywriters need to be able to understand the customer and clients they will be writing for. Their main task is to communicate to customers in their terms and on their level so the advertiser’s sales message is readily received. They also need to be able to understand a client’s product, have knowledge of advertising themes/methods, and produce quickly. Good writers present ideas and drafts to clients using a wide variety of language and tonality based on the product and medium. Projects can include written content for publications, broadcast, internet media, and social media to promote the sale of goods or services.
