A Social Media Manager is a certified Internet culture vulture that has their finger on the pulse of online trends. Along with being up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, the Social Media Manager has a working knowledge of pop culture and emerging creators. They are enthusiastic about innovative social content, skilled in creating original text and video content, and managing posts and responding to followers. The ideal Social Media Manager has a broad swath of skills, from managing a content calendar and tending to strategically-built communities, to ideating around larger social activations and pitching innovative content (specifically for emerging social-first brands.).
Our client, a holistic, all-inclusive health care provider, is looking to add an experienced Social Media Manager to their team. They are looking for a candidate who is able to handle their social media presence, ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.
A role as a Social Media Manager may include:
- Managing the company image in a cohesive way to achieve brand and marketing goals
- Managing daily content calendars and posting cadence
- Leading brand voice and channeling growth strategies
- Networking with external (client) and internal copywriters, editors, and contributors to develop editorial calendars of dynamic social content (including talent-specific ideation)
- Consistently maintaining Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok community management (knowledge of Youtube and SEO copy is a plus)
- Monitoring the wider social conversations and competitor landscape
- Writing/revising social copy and scripting for social assets (i.e. crafting Instagram Stories, short video assets, pulling GIFs, etc.)
- Running a qualitative and quantitative social performance analysis for weekly CM reports and campaign wrap reports
- Performing research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
- Designing and implementing social media strategy to align with business goals
- Setting specific objectives and reporting on ROI
- Generating, editing, publishing and sharing engaging content daily (e.g., original text, photos, videos and news)
- Monitoring SEO and web traffic metrics
- Collaborating with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency
- Communicating with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
- Overseeing social media accounts’ design (e.g., Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
- Suggesting and implementing new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
- Staying up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER SKILLS NEEDED
- Experience managing social channels (including Tik Tok), agency and client management experience required
- a copywriting or journalism background (preferred)
- Knowledge of using Slack and Google Suite
- Photoshop knowledge
- Current social platform and Facebook/Instagram Creator Studio knowledge
- Analytics expertise (a plus)
- A passion for innovative social content and larger picture brand building through social media

Programs needed may include Facebook/Instagram Creator Studio, and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop).
